All week long, the weather forecasters were saying that this weekend was going to be beautiful. Then, on Friday, they changed the forecast and said that it was going to be raining on Sunday afternoon, during our scheduled engagement session with Cheryl and Jason. Looking at the hourly forecast, we saw a brief window of nice weather and decided to go for it. Sure enough, the rain held off, and we spent the afternoon with Cheryl and Jason at the Willowwood Arboretum in Far Hills, NJ. Willowwood is an old estate that was owned by two brothers in the early 1900s. They had a huge interest in horticulture and landscape architecture, so they spent their free time designing some pretty elaborate gardens. We had lots of fun with Cheryl and Jason, exploring the formal gardens and even some of the informal areas, and they were up for anything we suggested. We can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the Bridgewater Manor in November!
