It doesn’t matter how much a couple plans or prepares for a wedding; sometimes fate just needs to take over & the pieces just have to fall into the right place.
Jamie and Scott wanted a beach wedding, and they wanted it so badly that there really wasn’t any other plan. The ceremony site had been chosen carefully, the decorations and details had all been planned precisely, and on Saturday morning there came a point where they just needed fate to take over and make sure the rain held off. When we arrived, the weather wasn’t looking good. There was a foggy haze in the air, the humidity was thick enough to cut, and the classic signs of a rainy beach day seemed to be setting in. Then at 4:30pm, just before the start of the ceremony, there was a change. The drizzle stopped, and the humidity broke just a touch. Maybe there was some divine intervention, but the weather held. The ceremony went off according to plan, and the final receiving line handshakes and hugs were punctuated with a crack of thunder as if Mother Nature knew that the outdoor festivities were done and she could continue with her plan. Jamie and Scott’s reception was held at The Boathouse Restaurant, where the guests enjoyed great food and a live band.
Congrats Jamie and Scott. We hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in Italy and Greece! (And we’re insanely jealous :))
