There’s an old superstition that rain on your wedding day is good luck, so we think it’s safe to say that Tiffany and Buu must be the luckiest couple we’ve ever met! As their wedding day was approaching, the weather reports about Hurricane Irene started rolling in. While Tiffany and Buu were finalizing the details of their wedding day, evacuations were taking place, gas stations were running out of fuel, windows were being boarded up, and supermarket shelves were quickly becoming bare. Text messages, e-mails, and phone calls from out-of-town guests came as flights were cancelled and roads were closed. Tiffany and Buu didn’t panic though, and keeping in mind the safety of their guests, the reception was moved up an hour and a half earlier.
Hurricane Irene came roaring into New Jersey on Saturday afternoon as predicted, but that didn’t stop them Tiffany and Buu from enjoying their day. The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen, NJ, and as the hurricane roared outside, the priest reminded everyone that not even a hurricane can stop true love. After the ceremony, we headed to Rutgers University’s Douglass campus where Tiffany and Buu first met, and low and behold, as we exited the church there was no rain. We were able to get a few shots in just before it started pouring again. We then headed to the Westwood in Garwood, NJ to kick off their reception. The food was great (we highly recommend the bruschetta) and the Elite Camp DJ crew kept the party going even with the storm churning outside.
Congratulations, Tiffany and Buu! Enjoy the amazing food, wine, and scenery on your Italian honeymoon.
