We were supposed to take a family trip to the beach on Sunday, but with hurricane Irene and all… well, you know how that goes. Living so close to the beach, we couldn’t let a Summer pass without letting Tyler experience the sand and ocean for the first time, so we drove to Sandy Hook last night. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a large “Beach Closed” sign (due to the hurricane aftermath, we’re guessing) so we headed to Sea Bright instead. The sun was setting by the time we arrived, so we only took a few pictures. But more importantly, we had an incredible time watching Ty experience the beach for the first time. Until that point, our friends’ pool was the largest body of water he’s ever seen, so seeing his face light up when he saw the ocean and waves was just priceless. He loved playing in the sand too, and surprisingly did NOT try to eat it 🙂
