A history-making blizzard on their wedding day certainly wasn’t what Lauren and Brendan were envisioning when they chose their October wedding date. The day’s schedule was thrown off by many things beyond anyone’s control, but the snowstorm brought a distinct clarity and purpose to an event that can sometimes get clouded with all of the “extras” that come along with a wedding day. It stripped away most of the pomp and circumstance and left Lauren and Brendan with the things that are truly important in life; each other, their families, and their friends. Lauren and Brendan’s wedding ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption followed by a reception at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown, NJ. Yes, the lights went out (a few times) but the staff at the Inn was amazing and Eileen Fogarty and the Very Best Band played on and brought the house down. Despite the circumstances, no amount of snow stopped their families and friends from celebrating Lauren and Brendan’s wedding day. It was truly an amazing and unforgettable event, and we were happy to hear that everyone made it home safely.
