“Y.O.L.O. You Only Live Once“
-Brian Mabutas, best man
How can we possibly even begin to describe being a part of this amazing day? A day that featured light up shades, lobster tails, crazy, mad love, and a taco truck. That’s right, a taco truck.
When a couple asks us to be part of their day it means so much to us, but the feeling is especially deep when friends ask us. Rich has known Francis for almost 15 years. They’ve enjoyed the same hobbies, traveled the country together and have been part of various family life events. Francis’ mom even did the flowers for our own wedding in 2008.
We can remember the first time we met Cheryl. They had been dating for just a short period of time and we all went out to dinner. When we got home that night, we talked about how perfect they were together. The connection between them could be felt, even very early on in their relationship. If you’re a follower of the blog, you may remember that we shot their proposal back in January of 2011. Fast forward a year and a half and its evident that the electricity between them has only grown. This couple is fiercely in love, and the best of friends. They smile at each other and laugh at jokes even when no one else gets them. It is a feeling that elicits joy in their families and friends, and the feeling manifested itself fully on their wedding day. The party was insane. The dance floor at Nanina’s in the Park was alive all night and Ian & Mike from Lifetime Entertainment made sure that it stayed that way. You only live once and its evident that Cheryl and Francis are going to make the absolute most of it.
