At several points in the history of our business, we’ve had the pleasure of photographing families that we’ve had a strong emotional connection with; working for families that we’ve known for many, many years. Out of all of those jobs, perhaps no family has had a greater or longer connection than that of Elizabeth’s family. Rich has been close friends with Elizabeth’s older brothers since kindergarten, and her parents were like a second set of parents with countless dinners, sleepovers, and trips spread over many years. When we first started in photography, Elizabeth’s brothers, Peter and Stephen were some of the first to ask Anne to photograph their children. In 2011, we had the pleasure of photographing Elizabeth’s sister Joy’s wedding and then a family session as her family grew. All of this history meant that it was going to be an amazing day with Elizabeth and Sean, capturing the love of two people that come from amazing families.
Elizabeth and Sean’s love story truly is one for the romantics. They are high school sweethearts that first met as freshmen in high school. Their friendship grew stronger through their freshman and sophomore years in high school before finally becoming a couple over the Christmas break of their junior year. Four years later, Sean proposed on Christmas day at Elizabeth’s house in front of her family. We joined them on their wedding day for an outdoor ceremony at the historic Rutherford Hall in Allamuchy, NJ and then a reception at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown, NJ.
