stone house at stirling ridge wedding

Last weekend we joined Erica and Matt for their wedding at the beautiful St. Philomena church in Livingston, NJ and reception at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge. You may remember Erica and Matt from their beautiful engagement session last year at the NJ Grounds for Sculpture. We spent that day exploring the grounds and talking about the plans they had for their wedding. It was so cool to see how those plans became reality on a day that had so many personal elements incorporated. Erica’s uncle is the deacon at St. Philomena’s church and he had the pleasure of performing the wedding ceremony. It is always special when someone that really knows the couple performs the ceremony because they can add context and stories that really speak to who they are as a couple and that is exactly what uncle Fred was able to do.

Following the ceremony, we headed to the beautiful Stone House at Stirling Ridge. Stone House is one of our favorite venues, but it has been quite some time since we’ve been there and we were so excited to go back. Erica and Matt’s reception was in the larger reception and it was so beautiful. The stonework and exposed beams combine for a look that went along perfectly with the modern classic look that Erica and Matt envisioned for their day. No Standards Band was amazing, playing a mix of modern and classic rock and wedding staples that got everyone on the dance floor, partying all night long. We had such a good time and we were so happy to be a part of Erica and Matt’s big day.

Congratulations Erica and Matt!
