On Mother’s Day afternoon, we met up with Madison, Natalie, and their mom Marissa for portraits at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. The Spring weather was perfect for the girls to run around in… and run they did! We can only wish we had half as much energy as these girls had! Madison and Natalie have very different personalities, but it’s already apparent that they are going to grow up to be best friends.

We typically don’t shoot maternity sessions, but we had to make an exception for our good friends Cecille & Francis, and their little baby who will be here around late August. We are so happy for them, and we can’t wait to meet their new addition. Cecille is truly glowing and were honored to be able to capture this special time in their lives.

Happy Mother’s Day to Cecille, and all of the moms and moms-to-be out there!

Well, we’re excited to announce that we’ve been featured again, this time with a shot from Monica and Anthony’s Wedding. brendan & julia :: kid’s castle portraits

Yesterday’s shoot took place at Kid’s Castle in Doylestown, PA where we met up Johnelle, Bob, and their kids Brendan and Julia… a.k.a Tyler’s 3rd cousins! Rich and Bob are 2nd cousins. They haven’t seen each other since they were kids, so it was nice to be able to get together and connect with them. We hope we can get the cousins together for future playdates!

dana & brian :: grand colonial wedding

You may remember Dana and Brian’s engagement session where we met their dog Oscar and learned of Dana’s Maid of Honor test for her sister, Michelle. Well, yesterday was Dana and Brian’s wedding day and we finally got to see how all of those plans and tests turned out. Oscar made a special appearance as the ring bearer and Michelle was one of the best Maids of Honor we’ve seen; it was evident that she took her duties very seriously!

Dana and Brian’s outdoor ceremony at the Grand Colonial in Hampton, NJ was beautiful and heartfelt with Dana and Brian reciting their own vows to each other. We then headed inside for the reception and Eclipse Entertainment got the party started, with the groomsmen from North Carolina and the bridesmaids from New Jersey competing to see who could fist pump better.

Congrats Dana and Brian! Best of luck with your new house!

april & kevin :: hoboken engagement

When we first met April and Kevin it was clear that the city of Hoboken, NJ has played a big role in their relationship. They first met while attending college at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. It was on Pier A in Hoboken, where Kevin first asked April to be his girlfriend 5 years ago, and it was on the same pier where he asked her to marry him. It just seemed natural to start our engagement shoot with them on Pier A where so many milestones in their relationship took place. From there, we headed to the Stevens campus and found the stone heart in the Stevens gatehouse. We explored the campus and they told stories about school and their relationship before heading back downtown. It was a great way to spend an afternoon and we can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the Liberty House in October.

As a boy growing up, Jake had many dream cars. Little did he know that one of them would ultimately bring him to his dream girl. As a young adult, Jake purchased a Subaru WRX. The little Subaru has always been famous for its all wheel drive and its light yet powerful, turbocharged engine. Shortly after purchasing it, Jake decided to take it out to a local auto-x event and put it through its paces. He remembers seeing a bright red RX-7 that day, the car of his dreams. A few years later, he was attending another event and he had the good fortune of meeting that RX-7′s owner, Elena’s father, and his daughther Elena who was behind the wheel that day. The pair was a perfect match for the winner’s circle; Jake’s dream girl, driving his dream car.

We had an amazing time with these two and their wedding at MyMoon Restaurant & Bar in Brooklyn, NY was absolutely amazing. We wish you both much happiness and success, on and off the track.

abigail, michael & nicholas :: allaire state park portraits

This was our fourth portrait session with Abigail, Michael, and Nicholas. They are 2 and a half years old now, and have TONS of energy! We had so much fun running after them at The Historic Village at Allaire. We saved the best for last with a ride on the Pine Creek Railroad.

We didn’t even recognize Austin when we walked through the door, because he has grown so much since his last photo session with us at just 5 months old. Austin is just over 2 years old now, and his personality reminded us SO much of our own little guy. Austin’s dad built a a brand new climber/slide for him this afternoon, so Austin got a fun surprise when he stepped into the backyard!

jaden & jensen :: lafayette college portraits

Today, we met up with Andrea, Jeff, Jaden, and Jensen for a Spring photo session. You may see a lot of sunshine in these photos, but unfortunately, it felt more like Winter with the strong wind and cool air! But once again, Jaden and Jensen didn’t let the weather affect them and they rocked their Spring outfits anyway! Our last photo session took place just two months ago, and back then Jensen was only able to take a few steps. Now, he is full on running around like a big boy… just like his big brother. They really do grow way too fast. These photos were taken at Lafayette College, where Andrea and Jeff both went to school.
