Love is a strange and complicated thing. You can’t plan it or predict it. It has its own agenda and sometimes it takes hold of your heart when even your brain is telling you that it might not be a good idea. Perhaps this is how the term “falling in love” was coined. Sometimes, you fall; it isn’t planned and it can’t be predicted. Cassie and Dan have such a love story.
Dan is a young officer in the United States Coast Guard and when he was re-assigned to the Manasquan inlet station, Cassie’s father was his commanding officer. When Dan met Cassie’s mom at various Coast Guard family functions, he had no idea that she was hatching a plan to fix him up with her daughter, the daughter of his commanding officer. Dan knew it wasn’t a good idea to date his commanding officer’s daughter, but something made him take her phone number and call Cassie. After a few dates, Cassie and Dan were falling in love.
During the reception, Cassie’s father gave a speech and he talked about what happened when he first found out. He had called Dan into his office and he said something along the lines of, “you are standing at the edge of a cliff. Do you want to fall off this cliff?” He went on to say that Dan replied that he had already fallen off the cliff.
Cassie and Dan had an amazing ceremony on the beach in Sea Bright, NJ with a reception at The Water’s Edge. Friends and family arrived for a wedding and reception and before they know it, a full-fledged party was raging with EventSetGo playing the music all night long.
