Today, on New Year’s Eve, we look back at what was our busiest year to date with 24 weddings. We traveled as far north as Connecticut and as far south as Tennessee, but today we present our final wedding of the year; a wedding that featured a little snow, some Chimay beer, and a “Thriller” of a first dance from the bride and groom. All from good ‘ol Hoboken, NJ.
Fabiana and Rick became friends when they met in South Jersey. At the time, Fabiana was living in Hoboken and pursuing an advanced degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, so when Rick accepted a new job in New York City and started looking for a place to live in the Hoboken area, Fabiana was the first person he asked for advice. Fabiana showed him around the city, and eventually a romantic spark started to burn. They realized that they had similar interests in hockey (rooting against each other for rival teams), travel and good quality beer. It was these last two interests that lead them on a journey to Dublin, Ireland where they toured the Guinness Brewery and became certified to pour “the perfect pint.”
Fabiana and Rick’s wedding took place at Saints Peter and Paul Church on Hudson and Fourth in Hoboken. The church looked amazing, still decorated with Christmas trees and poinsettias. The reception was held at The Chart House in Weehawken where the guests partied and enjoyed several “perfect pints.”
Congratulations Fabi and Ricky! Enjoy your honeymoon in Bora Bora! (P.S. We’re so jealous)
