We love when a couple takes their wedding day and makes it their own. Thida and Jonathan did exactly that, mixing traditional Cambodian cultural elements with modern twists, like Nike Air Jordans for the groomsmen. It was really cool to see how all of the different elements came together and made a day that was 100% unique to them.
Thida’s family originates from Cambodia, so while she started the day in a western style white wedding gown, she also changed twice during the reception into traditional Cambodian wedding day outfits. Jonathan and the entire bridal party changed as well.
The ceremony and reception were held at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ, and DJ Ian Ali and the crew from Lifetime Entertainment got the guests out of their seats. They even pulled out all the stops and played some Filipino & Cambodian music that really got the crowd going.
