We always enjoy seeing how every couple ties in their own personal tastes and interests to their wedding day. For Cheryl and Jeremy, it was all about the food! Cheryl and Jeremy are both lawyers and self-proclaimed foodies. In fact, they run a blog called “Food Judicata” which is a play on words with the legal term “res judicata” meaning “a matter [already] judged.” The city that they call home, Jersey City, NJ has its own very vibrant foodie culture with many restaurants and eateries available to suit all kinds of appetites. It was these two aspects of their lives, foodie culture and Jersey City that lead them to their unique wedding ceremony and reception venue, the Culinary Conference Center in Jersey City, NJ.
Cheryl and Jeremy’s big day started along the Jersey City waterfront, where we photographed their first look with views of the New York City skyline and newly completed Freedom Tower. We then made our way to the Culinary Conference Center for an outdoor ceremony on the streets of Jersey City, presided over by the Honorable John A. O’Shaughnessy; a judge that Jeremy was a clerk for during law school. After the ceremony was over, we headed inside the Culinary Conference Center for the cocktail hour and reception, where everyone’s taste buds where treated to a number of amazing dishes. DJ Adam Levy from LoveSick Inc. kept the turn tables spinning and the tunes flowing, making sure the dance floor was always filled. We would be remiss if we didn’t give a shout out to Mrs’ Lin, Cheryl’s mom, who did all of the floral arrangements for the wedding and bridal party. She has her own shop, Edison Plants and Flowers.
Congratulations Cheryl and Jeremy! Enjoy your honeymoon in Argentina and Uruguay!
