The first time we photographed Kerri and Rob was at Nick and Lauren’s wedding almost three years ago. Just two years later, Kerri and Rob were engaged and when I sat down with them to discuss their wedding, Kerri told me a great story about that photograph. Rob was one of Nick’s groomsmen and he asked Kerri to be his date to the wedding. At the time, they had only just started dating and it was one of the first big social parties they attended as a couple. We took a photo of them dancing that night and Kerri said that it immediately became one of her favorite photographs of the two of them.
In that meeting, we learned that Kerri and Rob were set up by Rob’s cousins–but actually his aunt, uncle and cousins all claim responsibility for the fix up–setting them up on group date to a Luke Bryan concert in Camden, NJ. Hearing this story, it was no surprise to see just how much influence and support they have from their families and how important they were on their wedding day.
We joined Kerri and Rob for their ceremony at Kerri’s childhood church, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bayonne, NJ. After the ceremony, we headed to Colonial Park in Somerset, NJ and braved the 107 degree temperatures before finally heading to The Palace at Somerset Park for the reception. We’ve worked at The Palace several times and they always do a phenomenal job. They certainly pulled out all of the stops to give Kerri and Rob the “best day ever.”
Congratulations Kerri and Rob! Enjoy your honeymoon in St. Kitts and St. Thomas.
