This past weekend we joined Brittany and Nick for their wedding in New York and Connecticut, and in many ways it was the polar opposite of the day that we first met Brittany’s family. In October of 2011, we photographed Brittany’s cousin Brendan’s wedding to Lauren. It was a day that many will remember as the “Halloween Blizzard.” Snow on a wedding day can be a beautiful thing to photograph, but when a blizzard hits in October, it’s impossible to be prepared. That didn’t stop their family from having an amazing time though!
Weather-wise, Brittany and Nick’s wedding day was the total opposite of her cousin’s. An early morning rain shower had disappeared and managed the break the humidity, leaving nothing but a beautiful summer day. We joined Brittany as she got ready in her childhood home before heading to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale, NY. After the ceremony, we took photos at the Scarsdale Train Station and Bronx River Park before heading to the beautiful Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, CT for the reception.
We took a few photos around the Country Club before the band from Live Wire Entertainment kicked the party off. They were one of the most talented and entertaining wedding bands we’ve even seen and they had the crowd on the dance floor all night long.
