The best part about this job is delivering incredible images for two people on a day that is so important to them, and it feels even more meaningful when we’ve known the bride or groom, or both, for a long time. That is exactly the case with Kevin and Rebecca. Rich has known Kevin for almost 20 years, first hanging out with the same group of friends, and then later working together during college. They’ve lost touch over the last few years as adult life has taken over, but it was great to reconnect and we were so excited that Kevin and Rebecca asked us to capture their day.
When we met with Rebecca and Kevin for their Spring engagement session back in late March, it felt more like a Fall day. We had joked that maybe we would get some Spring weather for their Fall wedding, and that’s exactly what happened!
Rebecca and Kevin were married in the Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church in Warren, NJ. After the ceremony, we joined them for photos and the reception at the Basking Ridge Country Club in Basking Ridge, NJ. During the toasts, we learned that Kevin’s best man, Joe, is married to Rebecca’s cousin and that was how they met. The maid of honor and best man speeches were two of the best (and funniest) that we’ve ever heard. Once the opening dances and toasts were all done, Ian and Mike from Lifetime Entertainment brought the house down, just as they always do.
