“Everything will just be perfect, as long as we follow the spreadsheet” -Corinne
“TAKE A SHOT!” -All of Corinne’s bridesmaids
One of the things that I find most enjoyable about photographing weddings is that you can spend endless hours trying to plan out the perfect day, but at some point, things are going to change slightly, or sometimes dramatically, and part of the fun and excitement of the day comes from those changes. To be honest, it is a lot like life and I think it’s a pretty good test for couple that is about to get married. It’s easy to make a plan, but how do you handle things when they don’t go according to plan? The quotes above reflect that perfectly.
This past weekend, we joined Cori and Frank for their wedding at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, NJ. Cori is a natural planner. Her bridesmaids told us that she enjoys organizing and laying out the plans and seeing them through. They were also the perfect foil for her plans, reminding her that every time she referenced “the plan”, she owed them a shot. Just a few minutes into the day and it became a running joke. Fortunately, Cori’s bridesmaids really love her and didn’t hold her to the shot count at the end of the day. It was a fun afternoon and for the most part, everything went according to plan. The details, all organized by Cori and Frank (maybe just a little bit) were awesome and tied the day together perfectly.
Congratulations Cori & Frank! Enjoy your lifelong honeymoon at your new beach house!
