pleasantdale chateau wedding

Since starting our photography business in 2009, we’ve photographed over 100 weddings. Our couples have come from all walks of life with diverse races, nationalities, religious affiliations, and professions. But when we think about these couples in the grand scheme of things, they’re all exactly the same. At the very core, they are simply two people that have found each other in this crazy, mixed up world, who love each other and promise to support each other through good times and bad. Yesterday, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that no state government had the right to restrict the right of marriage based on sexual orientation, and we are simply thrilled that #lovewins.

We learned of the breaking news as we were on our way to photograph Emily and Steve’s wedding, and it was awesome to see how proud and excited they were to be getting married on such a historic day.

Emily and Steve met while teaching at an elementary school and their relationship grew through a mutual enjoyment of fitness, food, wine and travel. Their wedding ceremony took place at the Immaculate Conception Chapel at Seton Hall University, where Emily attended college. After they said “I do,” we headed to the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ to get the party started. The Time Machine Band nearly blew the roof off the ballroom and everyone had a great time on a day that will be remembered by many for years to come.

Congratulations Emily & Steve! Enjoy your honeymoon in Greece!
