Approximately, 3 years ago, I brought my camera to the hospital and photographed the birth of our son. It was an absolutely amazing experience and I’m so glad that we’ll forever have those pictures to remember the day by. It seemed only fitting to do so for our second child.
October 27th started off just like any other Sunday at our house, with me downloading photographs from a wedding the previous day. Once done, Anne said that she wanted to sort through the images and try to get Liza and Rich’s blog up, just in case this baby decided to come early. I don’t think either of us was really expecting that to happen, but Anne being the consummate planner that she is, decided it was better to be safe than sorry. It seems that she must have had a little bit of ESP, because later that evening, at approximately 12:30 in the morning, Anne’s water broke and it was time for our baby girl to arrive.
We got to the hospital at about 1:30 and things progressed rapidly. It seemed that our baby girl, who was due November 5th, was going to take after her mother, and always arrive early. At 8:57 AM, on October, 28th, Summer Kate Lavigne made her arrival.
Anne and Summer are both happy and healthy and Tyler is absolutely thrilled to be a big brother. He can’t wait for her to come home.
