Dianna and Ryan’s love story could be the plot of a romantic comedy. Boy moves into apartment with friends. One day, boy notices that beautiful girl lives in apartment above him and suddenly he’s looking for every excuse to hang out on the front stoop when she comes home from work, or frequently makes trips to his mailbox to check for mail. It was so much fun photographing Dianna and Ryan’s wedding last weekend, listening to all of the ways that Ryan was just trying to get on Dianna’s radar, and we’re so glad that when he finally did they realized that they had so many things in common. Dianna found a new friend to explore the foodie scene with, and Ryan taught Dianna the secrets of hanging out on the stoop.
We first worked for Ryan’s family back in 2011, when we photographed his younger brother Stephen’s wedding to Joy. Then, in 2013, we photographed his older brother Michael’s wedding to Prajna. It was incredible to catch up with both of them and see and hear how their families have grown and know that we were now a part of a new chapter in Dianna and Ryan’s life. I’m sure it will be amazing to see where life takes them and to think that it started because a boy moved into an apartment.
